About Simplistic Develops

Simplistic Develops is a small software company in Tennessee, run by James Truitt.

I believe people are made in the image of God, and that being creative is part of who we are. We're living in a time of remarkable tools, AI among them. They can make people feel replaceable, or they can help people make, learn and fix more than ever. I want to build for the latter.

What I build

Apps that do at least one of these things:

• Teach something practical. You should come away knowing more than when you started.
• Tell the truth. Accurate information, honest about its limits.
• Help make the complex understandable. Knowledge paired with wisdom leads to good change.
• Honor your time. Tools that help you make intentional choices, with repetition only where it helps you learn.

What I don't want to build

Apps designed to waste your time. No endless feeds, no guilt notifications, no tricks to keep you scrolling. A good app is one you open and use only as long as it is beneficial to you.

Fair pricing

Some features cost money, because the work has value and it keeps the lights on. But if you're a student or going through a hard time, there should still be a way in. Just ask.

Much of the world feels complex today. Simplistic Develops strives to build apps that serve people well and to create a culture of teaching. When I fall short, please tell me.
